Lisa Weiner
As founder and principal researcher of illuminatED, Lisa Weiner has more than 25 years of experience helping schools, organizations and policymakers improve services to students and youth preK-24. She holds a master’s degree in language, literacy and culture from Stanford University, as well as a B.A. and high school English teaching certification from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
In addition to her work as a researcher, Ms. Weiner has taught middle-school language arts to high-poverty students in an urban district, as well English as a second language to adults. She helped design the curriculum for adult education certification at the University of the District of Columbia and continues to teach adults through volunteer programs.
Ms. Weiner is a member of the American Evaluation Association and the American Educational Research Association.
